Our Story

Founded by Daniel and Phoebe, The Dough Parlour is more than just a business – it's a partnership in every sense. Based in the city of Perth, WA, we embarked on our journey with a singular purpose: to deliver delicious, high-quality cookies and cookie-based desserts. Leveraging the best of Australian produce, we focus on creating exceptional products that stand out in both taste and presentation.

Our story began when we decided to close our construction company to start a mobile coffee van. While operating from a small local park, we realised the difficulty of finding baked goods with good shelf life that could draw customers to us. Phoebe took it upon herself to bake big, filled, and visually appealing cookies. Her creations quickly became a hit, attracting people from all over Perth, thanks to our strong social media presence.

With our Instagram and TikTok following, we utilised these platforms to build a loyal customer base. After selling cookies from our coffee van and experiencing significant success, we built a website and began selling online. This led to several pop-up opportunities in Westfield malls around Perth. The overwhelming demand for our cookies, bolstered by a viral social media video, encouraged us to scale our operations and focus on wholesale.

Today, we proudly supply 36 IGAs & restaurants across Western Australia and ship our cookies nationwide daily through Australia Post. Our dedication to in-house production allows us to stay agile, constantly innovate, and respond swiftly to market trends.

Our Purpose

We aim to solve the problem of mundane and uninspiring baked goods by offering new and exciting treats that not only satisfy cravings but also impress peers. Our cookies, typically found only in high-end bakeries, are now conveniently available at local retailers.

We use platforms like Instagram and TikTok to cross-promote and drive traffic to the locations we supply. This strategy has proven successful, with numerous IGAs reporting that our cookies are their best-performing product – a testament to our loyal customer base who visit stores specifically for our treats.
